Patients are selected in consultation with social workers in the villages. Partnership agreements have been signed with the Kharkiv and Sumy regions, as well as with the two capital cities of these oblasts. Travel arrangements are carefully planned. For each mission to Kharkiv and Sumy, one person is responsible for security. Vehicles travelling to areas close to the front line are equipped with drone detectors and mobile satellite internet to monitor alerts and Telegram loops indicating threats.
The coordination of humanitarian aid is essential to meet specific needs and avoid duplication of humanitarian aid. Dignitas is a member of the National Health Cluster led by the World Health Organisation and works closely with regional humanitarian coordination bodies. It is also one of the recognised partners of the United Nations inter-agency system for responding to civilian evacuations.
