Emergency aid for victims
Results
More than 150 semi-trailers of essential non-medical supplies have been distributed since February 2022, representing more than 10,000 m³, including more than 60 lorries of food aid and seeds, around 50 lorries of hygiene products, 4 lorries of tents and blankets, a dozen lorries of clothing, around 20 lorries of furniture and equipment for centres for displaced persons, and 12 lorries of anti-drone nets.
More than 15,000 deliveries and distributions have been carried out since the start of the large-scale war at the end of December 2025.
Why this project
According to the United Nations, 9.2 million Ukrainians depend on humanitarian aid, which is nearly one in four inhabitants.
However, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the National Health Cluster, only 1.9 million people have received actual aid due to a lack of funds.
The withdrawal of the United States has had dramatic consequences for supporting the most vulnerable.
NGOs have halted their projects overnight. And US funds are now trickling in. France has divided its humanitarian aid for Ukraine by four.
The bombing of civilians continues and requires a rapid and ongoing response to care for the victims.
In the east of the country, people continue to flee the fighting and often arrive at transit centres after evacuations with nothing.
At the same time, many displaced people are struggling to find work and are dependent on humanitarian aid. Poverty is on the rise in the country.

How we are implementing this project
The Medical Aid Committee is cited among the partners of the United Nations Coordination Office in the latest report.
- Participate to the fundraiserWe have a logistics base in Uzhgorod. After assessing needs, aid is then delivered to the final beneficiaries. At the warehouse, a team of employees and volunteers prepare orders. We partner with Nova Posta, which transports part of the aid received free of charge. The Medical Aid Committee operates throughout Ukraine, based on the needs identified by our network of trusted partner associations and local authorities across the country. In some regions, the Medical Aid Committee has its own representatives.
